Falkland was the first film location to be used for the hit Starz TV series "Outlander". Used to portray the city of Inverness in the first episode "Sassenach".
The quaint streets and buildings, with the backdrop of the East Lomond hill makes it the perfect Highland setting for Inverness in the 1940s.
Most of the scenes were filmed in the town square - just a stones throw from Vintage Quine! Claire is even seen wandering through the village past our shop to gaze in the window of the General Store where she sets her sights on that blue vase.
If you're looking for that 1940s style in your wardrobe, our range of 1940s reproduction garments from The Seamstress of Bloomsbury, House of Foxy or original vintage treasures will give you that iconic "Claire look".
